Terms of Use
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Homely customer account and the Homely partner portal (together, the "Service") operated by Homely Technologies Limited, 33 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, D02 V974, Ireland (company number 724457). By creating an account or signing in, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Your separate rent-to-own tenancy, purchase and partnership agreements are set out in their own contracts.
2. What the Service is
The customer account lets Homely customers explore available homes, submit and track an application, upload required documents, see their homeownership journey stage, and (once moved in) follow their rent-to-own payments and progress.
The partner portal lets Homely's investors and development partners view the developments they are associated with, shared documents, and relevant payment records. Partner access is invitation-only.
The Service is not a channel for completing a tenancy, exercising a purchase option, or making legally binding instructions, those happen through the dedicated contracts and the Homely team.
3. Your account
To use the customer account you must create an account yourself (or be invited by a Homely staff member). Partners receive accounts by invitation from Homely. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your sign-in details confidential.
- All activity carried out under your account.
- Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account.
4. Information you give us
You agree that the personal, household, financial and document information you give us is accurate and up to date to the best of your knowledge. We may rely on it to assess your application, match you with a home, and progress your journey. Giving us materially false information may lead us to withdraw an application or close your account.
Our handling of this information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to access accounts, systems or data you are not authorised to access.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, our infrastructure, or other users' use of the Service.
- Upload malicious content, or content that is unlawful, infringes others' rights, or that you do not have permission to share.
- Scrape or redistribute content from the Service other than for your own personal use (customers) or the purposes of your partnership with Homely (partners).
6. Content you upload
You keep ownership of documents and content you upload. You grant Homely a licence to store, display and process them for the purposes of operating the Service and progressing your application or relationship, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, its design, code, text, logos, and other content are owned by Homely Technologies Limited or our licensors. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for the purpose described above.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue features from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where practical.
9. Ending your use of the Service
You can close your account at any time by contacting the Homely team. We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these Terms, or if we are legally required to.
Closing your account ends your access to the Service. It does not by itself change your separate tenancy, purchase or partnership obligations with Homely.
10. Liability
We provide the Service with reasonable skill and care, but to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service, or for loss of data caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by Irish law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. The courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. For material changes we will notify you by email.
